The cleanup will be divided into three areas, about 3.4 km from the coast of Anheung Outer Port. In the inner harbor, private divers, the coast guard and the and Korea Ecosystem Disaster Management Association will collect underground waste.

After the cleanup, Gangwon-do, Daesan Regional Office of Oceans and Fisheries and 3 organizations in the district of Taean will start a campaign to prevent marine waste and hold an event featuring the release of fishery seedlings.
