Japan's Shinki Kasei to extent Hongseong factory with KRW 20 bn investment till next year

(HONGSEONG=Yonhap News) Chungnam governor Yang Seung-jo signed an MOU on attracting foreign capital with Yasuda Eitoku of Shinko Kasei, Chairman Oh Dong-hyuk of Dongshin Polymer and Hongseong County governor Kim Seok-whan.

Shinkei Kasei, a Japanese plastic processing company, plans to invest USD 20 million (KRW 22 billion) for next five years in extending floor tiles production factory on the area of 9,599 sq. meters, located in Guhang Industrial and Agricultural Complex, Hongseong.

It plans to commence construction next month and complete construction work in 2020.

If investment is implemented as Shinko Kasei's plan, it is expected to produce KRW 300 billion sales, KRW 300 billion exports, and 80 jobs.

Governor Yang said "it will be an opportunity to attract more investment in the southern and inland of Chungnam which has been lacking foreign investment," adding that "we will not spare any support in administrative procedures".
