Hanail Chemical Ind broke ground in Seokmun Industrial Complex for its Dangjin factory

(DANGJIN=Yonhap News) Hanil Chemical Ind., Korea's leading zinc oxide producer, is to build a large factory in Dangjin, Chungnam.

The company held a groundbreaking ceremony in Seokmun National Industrial Complex in Seokmun-myeon, Dangjin-si on July 11.

The company is to invest KRW 48 billion by early 2021 in building a factory producing robbers and addition compounds on the site of 82,863 square meters.

After construction completed, the factory is expected to employ 110 workers.

In particular, with the completion of a factory, its headquarters currently located in Sihwa Industrial Complex in Siheung, Geyonggi, will be moved to Dangjin.

Hanil was established in 1962, currently accounting for 60 percent of domestic zinc oxide market. It recorded KRW 110 billion sales last year.
