Taean County set to welcome an authorized space to fly UAV

According to Yonhap News,

Taean County, South Chungcheong Province, welcomes a large scale theme park where visitors can test and experience unmanned aircrafts. The authority, seeking ways to boost local economies through a transformation towards the fourth industrial revolution, announced its KRW 9.5 billion investment plan on Dec. 25 to open an authorized open space named ‘UV Land’ to fly drowns and unmanned aerial vehicles.

This recreational facility appears to accommodate a wide array of testing zones to try- a drone school, racing circuit, the tarmac for take-off and landing, a giant multicenter remotely controllable, a flight operations facility for remote control drones, attendee experience rooms and a simulation training center to drive unmanned vehicles. Taean County also unveiled its agricultural land management plan using drones and a draft for drone contests to pick the best pilot.
