Daegu city to attract new residents who’ll move into the water cluster




According to Yonhap News,

Three ICT firms providing aqueous solutions- Usol, Gaamtech and Tap Electronics- move into and become new residents of National Water Cluster, located on Dalseong County, Daegu City. The city of Daegu announced on Feb. 5 that these three tenants begin construction work, estimated to worth KRW 23.7 billion in total, to establish new facilities, which sprawl across 14,000 square meter site inside the cluster.

One of would-be residents, Usol, plans to have a KRW 5.5 billion production line to make water leak detectors. Gaamtech, who’s developed a wireless telemetering device, makes a KRW 14.2 billion to relocate its headquarters from Gunpo to Daegu. While moving into the cluster, Tap Electronics currently headquartered in the city of Seongnam, spends as much as KRW 4 billion on a new manufacturing facility.

National Water Cluster, opened last June, has attracted 31 water businesses so far, with the occupancy rate of 54 percent.
