The city of Daegu announced on Aug 6 that the local authorities launched a biz-support program, giving a special focus on locally based opticians with fewer than 10 employees.

Korea Optical Industry Agency (KOIA), the only official body representing the eyewear industry in Korea, was selected as the main service provider to support opticians by the SMEs ministry. The program includes designing, product development and non-face-to-face B2B marketing, mainly targeting 201 small entrepreneurs selling eyewear.
