Dear Mrinal Kanti Mondal,

Thank you for visiting our website.

In order to establish a company and applying for a long-term visa in Korea, you need to complete the foreign direct investment procedures.

The minimum investment capital to register a FDI company is KRW 100 million, and this capital must be brought from overseas in foreign currency.

I will send a PDF file regarding the foreign investment procedures and required documents including the visa application, etc. to your email; please refer to page 34 of the file.

Please note that the minimum capital requirement may vary depending on the type of business you want to conduct in Korea.

There is another way to acquire a permanent resident visa in Korea, run by the Ministry of Justice: "Immigrant investor scheme for public business or real estate."

The immigrant Investor Scheme for Public Business is the government program that allows foreigners who satisfy the investment requirements designated by the Minister of Justice
to obtain F-2 resident and F-5 permanent resident status. For more information regarding this program, go to www.visa.go.kr.

Let me know if you have questions. My email address is lenakim@kotra.or.kr.

Thank you.
