According to Yonhap News,

(SEOUL=Yonhap News) The Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) announced February 11 that financier Kim Yong-kook has been named as the new Head of Invest KOREA, the investment promotion arm of KOTRA.

Kim received an MBA degree from the University of Michigan and worked at various financial firms, including Samsung Securities and Standard Chartered Securities Korea Limited, gaining domestic and international experience in the financial industry. Kim will head Invest KOREA for the next two years.

"I will strive to attract more foreign investment as foreign investment promotion activities contribute greatly to the economic growth of Korea by creating new jobs, securing the international competitiveness of domestic industries and revitalizing the regional economies," said Kim.
