According to Yonhap news,

Gwangju-si to seek solutions to urban problems by applying AI technologies.

On April 18, Gwangju-si announced that it will recruit companies to participate in 'AI Solution Development and Support Project to Resolve Urban Problems' by May 15.

This is the second time, following the past year, that the city is pushing for the project, which invites local companies with AI solutions applicable to 8 projects such as transportation, safety, cultural tourism, environment, socioeconomic, employment environment, settlement conditions, and social welfare.

Gwangju-si will support a total of KRW 380 million to 4 companies or associations.

According to Gwangju-si, four companies participated in the project last year made such achievements as deploying demonstration models or technologies to the US and Southeast Asia.
