Jeju Province Development Co. joined UN Global Compact

On September 18, the Jeju Province Development Co. (JPDC) announced that it joined the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), the world's largest voluntary corporate citizen group.

UNGC is a voluntary initiative, under the United Nations, and encourage corporations around the world to adopt sustainable and socially responsible management policies and report such implementation to the international organizations. It plays a supporting role in reflecting and sharing 10 principles in 4 areas including human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption on corporations' management.

By joining the UNGC, JPDC shall abide by 10 principles in four areas. Also, it is required to implement mid and long-term strategies and corporate activities to carry out corporate's social responsibility and submit implementation results to the UNGC every year.
