According to domestic tourism big data analyzed by the Korea Tourism Organization and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism over the past three years, Jeju is by far the top tourist destination in Korea, drawing the most attention on social media. Indeed, the number of domestic tourists visiting Jeju in 2018 reached 13.09 million – a figure equivalent to one-quarter of Korea’s total population.
