North Jeolla Prov. to run a ‘Smart Farm Innovation Valley’ in Gimje city

According to Yonhap News,

North Jeolla Province announced on Jan. 31 that the local authority plans to form what they calls a ‘Smart Farm Innovation Valley’ near the city of Gimje. Details of the plan include scaling up the local reservoirs, a part of wild-life conservation efforts to protect endangered species, building up eco-parks alongside the valley, setting ground water protection initiatives and local residents support programs.

The governor who said “The local government will make a full-blown effort to further improve community cohesion and agro- business for the decades to come” added that “Coordinated effort among residents who are open to this new project enabled us to facilitate the smart farm. I hope the valley can prime the pump to bond the community members. I’ll provide all the necessary administrative and financial support to the project.”
