CHUNGCHEONGBUK-DO < invest Korea

Chungbuk-do was selected as the local government with excellent performance in investment attraction for two consecutive years in 2022. Other finalist provinces were Gyeongbuk-do and Busan-si.

Chungbuk is the only province that clinched the top position for the second straight year.

And the province announced that it had received a commendation from the minister of trade, along with government funding with a five-percent increase in incentive for local investment promotion subsidy. Moreover, next year's fund will expand to KRW 53.4 billion from the previously planned KRW 49.8 billion.

The extra amount of the local investment promotion subsidy that Chungbuk would stand at KRW 1.28 billion, while si and gun in the province are to receive KRW 2.27 billion. An official from Chungbuk Province said, "with a goal of attracting KRW 6 trillion, we will carry out administrative activities close to businesses."
