CHUNGCHEONGBUK-DO < invest Korea

According to Yonhap News,

Danyang-gun, Chungbuk-do (North Chungcheong Province) said on March 18th that it would attract private capital in constructing a wind farm in Daegang-myeon.

Danyang will sign an MOU with Ilkyung Inc. on March 21st.

Ilkyung Inc plans to install measuring instruments in the Mt. Sobaeksan area, Daegang-myeon to analyze wind resources and conduct a feasibility study for one year before building a wind power generation complex with the annual capacity of 20MW which can be used by 3,000 households.

Danyang-gun will confirm a basic plan for wind farm construction after the company completes its analysis, take procedures for site purchase, break ground in 2012, and supply electricity from the wind farm starting from 2013.
