According to Yonhap News,

A project to create a national robot test field that will provide demonstration services for the quality of newly developed robots will be promoted in earnest.

The Daegu Metropolitan Government and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE) signed an MOU with the Korea Planning & Evaluation Institute of Industrial Technology (KEIT) and the Korea Institute for Robot Industry Advancement (KIRIA) to stimulate the creation and the operation of the national robot test field on March 21.

The National Robot Test Field will be built in a size of 167,000 square meters in Technopolis, Dalseong-gun.

It has been planned to secure the site and design the infrastructure this year, complete the establishment of infrastructure in 2026, and begin pilot operation in 2027.

The National Robot Test Field will conduct demonstration of the service quality, safety, and reliability of robots in a space created in a similar way to the actual environment across various fields such as logistics, living, and commerce.

About KRW 200 billion will be put into this project.
