Daegu to hold the future innovative technology expo in October

Daegu-si will hold a future innovation technology fair in October with the goal of fostering new industry exhibition that is comparable to CES (Consumer Electronics Show), the world's largest home appliance and information technology (IT) exhibition.

On April 2, Daegu-si announced that it will hold the "2024 Future Innovative Technology Fair" (FIX 2024) at Exco on October 23-26 in Daegu.

The fair is expected to be an event where the latest technologies such as future mobility including urban air transportation (UAM), robots, artificial intelligence (AI), and semiconductors, are brought together under one roof.

It is initiated to show global new industry trends and provide business opportunities to participating companies.

The event will be pushed for by integrating the Daegu International Future Auto & Mobility Expo (DIFA), the ICT Convergence Expo Korea, and the Daegu Robot Expo, which have been held regularly by Daegu-si.

The fair will be made up of a mobility hall, a robot hall, an ABB (AI, big data, blockchain) hall, and a start-up hall.

The mobility hall will introduce the latest technologies across the mobility industry, including electric vehicles, hydrogen cars, autonomous driving, secondary batteries, and electrified parts, while the robot hall introduces robot-related technologies such as manufacturing robots, food and beverage serving robots,AI robots, delivery robots, and autonomous driving robots.

The ABB hall will display new technologies such as AI, blockchain, big data, ICT, cybersecurity, non-memory semiconductors, and metaverse.

Daegu's mayor said, "we're preparing to make FIX2024 as a global specialized expo comparable to the world's top three IT exhibitions," adding that "we will transform Daegu as a leading city in the new industries through this event."
