On January 17, Gwangju-si announced that it held 541 export consultations, worth USD 40 million at 'Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2024', in which the city participated with 13 local companies.

Four companies, including inDJ, Newjak, Bentech Frontier, and Myren, have signed MOUs with eight companies and organizations, paving the way for overseas expansion.

Gwangju-si operated two pavilions, including 'Gwangju City Pavillion' and 'Gwangju Hall in the Korean Pavilion' at CES 2024, held in Las Vegas, USA on January 9-12.

During the event period, more than 5,400 visitors came to see the Gwangju Pavilion, while six of the participating companies received innovation awards.

CEO Jeon Kwang-myung of Intflow said, "Receiving the innovation award was a significant achievement as it was the first time to participate in CES. It was also very meaningful to have meetings and exchanges with foreign buyers."

In cooperation with local universities, the city also invited college students to promote products and provide them opportunities to get the glimpse of future technologies .

Gwangju Mayor Kang Gi-jung said, "It seems we reap the benefits of supporting the expansion of companies' participation this year, and providing continuous support for companies," adding, "Gwangju-si will continue to support as a one-team to foster and grow local companies."
