According to Yonhap news,

Startups that Gwangju-si has eyed as 'Unicorn' and supported are gradually making achievements.

On February 23, Gwangju-si said that five 'G-Unicorn' companies that the city selected last year have made such achievements as investment attraction, export contract, trademark applications, and intellectual property rights (IPR) registration.

SOSLab, a company manufacturing fixed-type LiDAR for vehicles, attracted KRW 17.6 billion investment in the equity investment stage before listing.

Intflow has signed usage contracts for its Edgefarm, an AI platform for livestock management, with 25 domestic farms.

Cheomdan Lab, a silicon nitride ball complaint company using waste silicon, and Forel, an energy-saving cooling material producer, also established production systems.

Studio Button, an animation content planning and production company, signed MOU on exports to Greater China.

Gwangju-si plans to recruit local startups with cumulative investment attraction of KRW 500 million for participation in G-Unicorn fostering program, and support commercialization funds and growth programs up to KRW 300 million.
