Yeongwol-gun, Exchanged Letter of Intent with Taicang City

According to Yonhap News,

 

Delegation of Taicang City, Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, China invited Yeongwol-gun, Gangwon on January 21st to exchange letters of intent for investment and friendship.

 

The delegation consisting of seven officials discussed measures for investment and exchange with County Governor Park Seon-gyu of Yeongwol-gun and President Ji Chang-hui of County Council of Yeongwol-gun.

 

The Chinese delegation plans to visit tourist attractions of Yeongwol, the construction site of Cistar, and regional companies, where they intend to make investment.

 

Taicang City is 64 km away from Shanghai and its population is 460,000.

 

County Governor Park Seon-gyu said “exchange with a Chinese city, which is very interested in venturing into foreign markets, is expected to significantly contribute to invigorating regional investment.”
