Ulsan-si announced that it will dispatch an investment promotion team to Europe and the Middle East from November 26 to December 3.

The investment promotion team will visit Germany, the UK, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to discuss matters related to attracting investment, fostering new growth industries, and responding to the climate crisis at headquarters of companies located in Ulsan.

On the following day, the team will visit BASF's headquarters in Ludwigshafen in Germany, holding an investment roundtable with management, and touring the factory.

On November 28, the team will visit Hamburg in Germany to discuss ways to cooperate in the hydrogen and offshore wind fields with officials from the Renewable Energy Association.

On November 29, the team also plans to visit INEOS, which established Lotte Ineos Chemical jointly with Lotte Group , and hold an investment roundtable with corporate officials to make a case for continued investment.

It will visit the London EV Show Exhibition, observing the leading EV technologies and trends, and meet with officials from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) on November 29-30.

Finally, on December 1, the team will move to the UAE and visit the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28) held in Expo City in Dubai to meet with officials from the ICLEI-Local Governments for Sustainability, discussing local governments' response to the climate crisis.

Deputy mayor of Ulsan City, the head of the investment promotion team, said "new and expanded investment by foreign companies already investing in Ulsan is also important as well as attracting new investment amid the global economic downturn," adding "we will actively make efforts to foster new growth engine industries and continued business expansion of companies investing in Ulsan".
