Gongju-si, Chungcheongnam-do, announced on September 8 that a total of 90 companies were attracted from 2018 to August this year since the 7th popularly elected local government came to office.
The total amount of investment reached KRW 284 billion, with hiring about 1,410 employees.
69 companies were attracted to industrial (agricultural and industrial) complexes, accounting for 77% of the total, and 21 companies moved into individual locations.

It also signed an investment agreement with Uni-President Enterprises Corp, the first foreign-invested company in the 7th popularly elected local government, and secured a commitment to invest KRW 27.5 billion in the Yugu Agricultural Complex over the next five years in expanding the factory.
Gongju's mayor said, "we will do our best not only to attract high-quality companies, but also to create a favorable environment for these companies to do business."
