According to Yonhap News,
hy (formerly known as Korea Yakult), a company specialized in the production of dairy products and health functional foods, has decided to make a large-scale investment in South Chungcheong Province.
Chungcheongnam-do, Nonsan City, and hy signed an investment agreement at hy's factory in Nonsan on September 28.
hy will expand production facilities on the existing factory site (39,421㎡) in Wangam-ri, Gayagok-myeon, Nonsan, and build a new automated logistics center on 44,864㎡ in Nonsan Dongsan General Industrial Complex.
It plans to invest KRW 117 billion in total, including KRW 71 billion for factory expansion and KRW 46 billion for building new logistics center.
The expanded plant will produce dairy products and health functional foods, while the new logistics center will be responsible for delivery services.
Chungnam-do expects this investment is to increase production amount in Nonsan by KRW 23.6 billion and create about 110 new jobs.
