On Asan Mayor Bok Ki-wang’s official visit to the sister city Dongguan in China, trade delegations, organized and sent by the Asan City Government, won contracts worth USD 508,000 in the Chinese cities of Dongguan and Zhengzhou. This figure was achieved through the efforts of the delegations involving small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that actively engaged in 44 business meetings during their stay in China.
Asan and Dongguan also signed an MOU on March 25 to cooperate to promote tourism of the two cities. According to the MOU, Chinese tourists from Dongguan will visit Asan in April to participate in the Great Admiral Yisunsin Festival.
“We will establish a policy that can help SMEs discover new markets and strengthen their capabilities,” said an Ansan official.
Mayor Bok Ki-wang and the city’s trade delegations visited Dongguan from March 22 to 27 to strengthen economic and trade relationships.
