According to Yonhap News,
A groundbreaking exhibition showcasing cutting-edge technologies that will lead future industries, including robotics and artificial intelligence (AI), will be held in Daegu.
On October 16th, Daegu-si announced that it will host the "2025 Future Innovation Tech Expo (FIX 2025)" on October 22-25 at Daegu EXCO.
With the theme "The Future is Here, All on AI," this event will serve as a major exhibition encompassing the region’s future industries such as mobility, robotics, and information and communication technology (ICT). A total of 585 companies, both domestic and international, will participate, marking an increase of approximately 40 companies compared to last year. The proportion of foreign companies has also grown from 14% last year to 20% this year.
Notably, the event will feature domestic debuts of technologies previously showcased at international exhibitions such as the world’s largest consumer electronics and IT exhibition, CES, including humanoid robot boxing and the Aero Urban Air Mobility (UAM) aircraft from Chinese electric vehicle company XPENG.
Various new technologies developed by regional companies, such as electronic pedals to prevent sudden acceleration and ultra-high-layer PCBs used in high-performance semiconductor devices, will also be on display.
In the mobility section, first-time participants include Hyundai Motors, GM Technical Center Korea (GMTCK), global electric vehicle leader BYD, Porsche, Volkswagen, HL Robotics, Valeo, and Daedong.
In the robotics section, Korea’s leading humanoid robot company Aeirobot, along with Coupang, Bear Robotics, RoboCare, Universal Robots, Epson, and Unitree, will participate.
Among the exhibits, Aeirobot’s "Alice," which is slated for deployment in shipbuilding and construction sites, will be showcased for the first time in Korea. Additionally, Unitree’s humanoid robot "G1" will demonstrate a robot boxing match.
During the event, a conference will be held, where 87 experts from 16 countries will discuss the future of industries.
There will also be business programs, with high-purchasing power buyers from North America and Europe, including from the U.S., Canada, Germany, and Japan, participating.
FIX 2025 can be attended for free by pre-registering on the official website (fixkorea.or.kr).
For the convenience of out-of-town visitors, shuttle buses will operate every 15 minutes between Dongdaegu Station and EXCO from 9:00 AM during the event period.
Additionally, attendees will receive benefits, including a 30% discount on admission to the Daegu Kansong Art Museum during the event.
