According to Yonhap News,

Daegu-si will operate various exhibition spaces during the "2025 Future Innovation Technology Expo (FIX 2025)", which will open on October 22 at EXCO in Daegu, allowing visitors to directly view and experience new technologies applicable to future industries.

According to Daegu-si on October 20, local companies such as Rainbow Research Institute and Beyless will participate in the "Daegu Urban Air Mobility (UAM) Special Exhibition," where visitors can check out domestic UAM vehicles like the three-seat UAM model produced by V Space, the "UAM Electric Engine," and "Unmanned Delivery Aircraft."

Visitors will have the chance to board a three-seat mid-sized UAM model (9 meters in width and 7 meters in length) and experience a virtual flight using transparent OLED displays. The experience simulates a route from Daegu to the new Daegu-Gyeongbuk Airport, departing from the "Daegu Vertiport (takeoff and landing site)."

Earlier in August, Daegu was selected for the UAM pilot project supported by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport, which aims to establish a foundation for the commercialization of urban air mobility. The pilot project, which Daegu-si applied for in partnership with Gyeongbuk Province, will set up three vertiport zones along the 96km highway route connecting Daegu-Gyeongbuk Science Technology Institute (DGIST), Waegwan IC, and Gimcheon-Gumi Station. The project will utilize UAM for wildfire monitoring, disaster prevention, emergency response, and highway traffic management.

Additionally, the exhibition will feature a model of the highway-type vertiport by the Korea Expressway Corporation and a photo zone where visitors can board a multi-copter UAM model.

During FIX 2025, Daegu-si will also operate a Blockchain Experience Zone in collaboration with the Daegu Digital Innovation Promotion Agency (DIP). Visitors can experience various blockchain-based apps and services that can be used in daily life. Four local blockchain companies will showcase AI and blockchain-based health management systems, donation and volunteer platforms, and more.

The event will also introduce "Dadaegu," a blockchain-based integrated mobile identity verification app that Daegu-si is currently developing. The city will distribute coffee coupons to the first 200 citizens who participate in a satisfaction survey on the app at the event, and the first 1,000 new users who sign up for the app by October 23 will receive a 5,000 KRW gift card.

An official from Daegu-si said, "Through this experience zone, citizens will be able to directly experience the blockchain technology of local companies, which will help increase their understanding and interest in the industry."
