2016 AustCham Korea Business Awards

The Australian Chamber of Commerce in Korea (AustCham) is pleased to announce that the 2016 AustCham Business Awards are open for entries. 

The awards nominations open soon with businesses competing for seven categories. The categories include nominations for diverse sectors including Infrastructure and Resources, Food and Beverages, Innovation and Technology, SME, Legal, Financial and Relocation Services. In addition, an individual award for Outstanding Contribution and Business of the Year award.

Chair of the AustCham Board of Directors and ExxonMobil Korea President and Lead Country Manager Graham Dodds, says the awards are an opportunity to celebrate and recognise the exceptional business that have contributed to the expanding Australia-Korea business relationship and longstanding friendship.

Mr. Dodds went on to say, “The awards acknowledge businesses that have gone above and beyond and represent the innovation and excellence that Australia and Korea are known for.” 

Hakhee Jo who is Director of International Affairs Department, Korea International Trade Association (KITA) highlights the increasing importance of the awards, “Following the ratification of Korea-Australia Free Trade Agreement there are more businesses than ever deserving of recognition. We believe the awards will reinforce the importance of current future Australian businesses in Korea.”

Eligible businesses of any size or industry are encouraged to apply. The awards provide a platform for brand exposure and promotion. The event, working with the Australian Embassy for 2017 Australia Day Celebrations, will feature prominent Australian and Korean business figures, community leaders and dignitaries.

The 2016 AustCham Business Awards will be presented by the Australian Ambassador to Korea on Thursday 12th January, 2017
Nominations are required to be submitted by Thursday 1st December, 2016.
