(1) Reasons for Proposal

Since the “tourism support service business” among “tourist convenience facility businesses” was newly inserted in the Enforcement Decree of the Tourism Promotion Act, the Amendment aims to specify designation criteria, business type for which designation application is possible, designation procedure, etc., of the relevant business type.

(2) Major Provisions

A. Establish the designation requirements of the “tourist support service business” in tourist convenience facility businesses (Article 14 and Attached Table 2 revised)

B. Specify the business type available for designation application for “tourism support service business” as a business type falling into the “special category of tourism industry” (Attached Table 2-2 related to Article 14 newly inserted)

C. Specify the designators of “tourism support service business” as the Governor of a Special Self-Governing Province and the head of a Si/Gun/Gu; and newly insert the provision of required documents for the designation (Article 15)

D. Change the application form since the provision of required documents, etc., was newly inserted (Attached Form 21 revised)
