(1) Reasons for Proposal

Since the "Consumer Chemical Products and Biocides Safety Control Act" was enacted (Act No. 15511, enacted on March 20, 2018, and enforced on January 1, 2019), the Notification aims to specify the approval criteria for biocides and biocidal products in accordance with Article 12 (2) and Article 20 (2) of the Act.

(2) Major Provisions

Only when the data submitted by a person seeking the approval of biocides or biocidal products meets the approval criteria can the Minister of Environment approve it.
