(1) Reasons for Proposal

This proposal aims to examine export of Korean indigenous biological organisms with high value in advance to prevent indiscriminate export and commercial abuse of Korean endemic species and indigenous biological organisms by making additions to and managing the notified list of designated biological resources.

A. Legal Grounds : Article 11 of the Act on the Conservation and Use of Biological Diversity

B. Amendment Details : Additional designation of 1,181 species, deletion of 179 existing species, and actualization of 466 species to the 4,813 species in the previously notified list (increase of 1,002 species in total).
