(1) Reasons for Proposal
The amendment aims to define the scope of the telecommunications business operators who shall provide identity theft protection service, registered account viewing service, and restricting additional sign-up service mandated by the provisions amended according to the partial amendment to the Telecommunications Business Act (Act no. 15858, promulgated on December 11, 2018, and enacted on June 12, 2019).

(2) Major Provisions
A. Newly insert the provisions defining the scope of the telecommunications business operators who shall provide the identity theft protection service, registered account viewing service, and restricting additional sign-up service (Article 37-8 and attached Table 3-2).
