Pursuing to revise the Technical Standards of Radio Equipment for Maritime Service to confirm the position of long-haul ships and introduce digital data transmission equipment, reflecting the recommendations of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) to domestic technical standards.

(2) Major Provisions
The amendment reflects the contents of the ITU Recommendation M.1798-1 related to HF radio equipment for the exchange of digital data to domestic technical standards to stipulate the functions and conditions that the relevant equipment should have.
