(1) Reasons for Proposal
In accordance with the amended Building Act [Act no. 16380 (promulgated on April 23, 2019; to be enforced on October 24, 2019)], this Amendment prescribes specific requirements for quality control of insulation and other finishing materials.

(2) Major Provisions
A. Prescribe standards on performance information labeling on the surface of insulation (Article 8)
Prescribe detailed provisions requiring the labeling of the surface of insulation with the manufacturer's name, product name, fire resistance performance, etc.
B. Designate an agency to manage and disclose quality control information on building materials (Article 9)
Designate the Registered Architects Association established under Article 31 of the Certified Architects Act as the agency to manage and disclose information on the fire resistance performance of finishing materials
