In accordance with the addition of mercury wastes and mercury recovery facilities to the scope of designated wastes and waste treatment facilities (Partial Amendment to the Enforcement Decree of the Wastes Control Act), this Amendment prescribes subcategories of mercury wastes and methods for storage/transportation/treatment (disposal or recycling), adds mercury wastes to regulations concerning dischargers of designated wastes, prescribes the installation and management of mercury recovery facilities, and stipulates facility requirements and obligations for mercury waste recycling business entities, thereby aiming to ensure that mercury wastes are treated in an environmentally friendly manner (attached Table 1, attached Table 4, attached Table 4-3, attached Table 5, attached Table 5-3, Article 17, Article 18-2, attached Table 7, attached Table 9, attached Table 11).
