(1) Reasons for Proposal

To add matters related to eco-friendly automobiles including high-powered electrical apparatuses to the warranty coverage for the inspector of the performance and condition of a motor vehicle to deal with increasing demand for the eco-friendly used car trade, and include a sunset provision in the public notification pursuant to the Regulations on the Issuance and Management of Directives and Established Rules, thereby remedying some of the inadequacies revealed in the operation of the current system.

(2) Major Provisions

A. Expand the warranty coverage for the inspector of the performance and condition of a motor vehicle ( attached Table 1)

1) Newly establish the item of high-powered electrical apparatus in the warranty coverage for the inspector of the performance and condition of a motor vehicle, and clarify the ambiguities in the warranty coverage for the inspector of the performance and condition of a motor vehicle (attached Table 1).

B. Include a sunset provision in the public notification of the warranty coverage for the inspector of the performance and condition of a motor vehicle (Article 4)

1) Newly establish regulations concerning the period of review to include a sunset provision in the public notification of the warranty coverage for the inspector of the performance and condition of a motor vehicle.
