(1) Reasons for Proposal
The current Public Notice of Critical Information to be Included in Labeling and Advertising requires that when a matter is necessary for consumer protection or maintaining a fair-trade order, business entities shall include the content in the label and advertisement.
Currently, as the supply of drones for leisure and hobby increases, safety accidents such as injuries caused by crashes are increasing, but since the level of related safety labeling is insufficient, consumer injury and property damage continue to occur. Therefore, this amendment aims to prescribe obligations, etc., that controllers must know during the use of unmanned power-operated flight devices in the Notice to secure consumers' predictability and prevent safety accidents.
(2) Major Provisions
A. Specify controllers’ obligation when manufacturing, selling, or renting unmanned power-operated devices
B. Notify consumers of the dangers such as the possibility of a crash when an unmanned power-operated flight device goes beyond its communication distance
