(1) Reasons for Proposal
These Regulations aim to define the management of medical aptitude tests as the Enforcement Rule of the Trucking Transport Business Act that was amended (Ordinance No. 576 of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport; promulgated on December 31, 2018; enforced on January 1, 2020) to introduce a qualification retention test system to ensure safe driving and prevent accidents by elderly trucking employees aged 65 or older and substitute the qualification retention test with the medical institution’s aptitude test to make it easy for such elderly employees, who have a lack of computer skills, to take the test.
