(1) Reasons for Proposal

In accordance with the amendment to the Private School Act whereby leave to raise a child, etc., for private school teachers, which was previously determined according to articles of association of the school, are now subject to regulations regarding its length and treatment of teachers on leave according to the Private School Act, this proposal aims to prescribe matters regarding treatment of private school teachers on additional causes of leave of absence by partially amending the Enforcement Decree of the Private School Act.

(2) Major Provisions

A. Prescription that Regulations Applicable to Public School Teachers Shall Apply Mutatis Mutandis in the Case of Leave of Absence to Raise or Adopt a Child (Article 24-11)

Prescribe that the regulations regarding treatment of public school teachers with respect to career evaluation, childcare leave benefits, etc., shall apply mutatis mutandis to private school teachers.
