(1) Reasons for Proposal

Recently released electrical and electronic products for the home are equipped with various features such as multimedia and wireless power transmission, and thus the factors that may cause interference between devices have continued to increase. Therefore, the Amendment aims to revise the electromagnetic compatibility standards by harmonizing with the international standards. 

(2) Major Provisions

Prepare the electromagnetic compatibility standards by supplementing standards for preventing electromagnetic interference and susceptibility by means such as expanding the frequency for measuring the radioactive interference and the radioactive RF electromagnetic fields of the “Standards for Electrical and Electric Home Appliances,” reclassifying product groups that are susceptible to electromagnetic waves, and revising the standards for wireless power transmission (Article 8 and attached Table 5)
