(1) Reasons for Proposal

This amendment reinforces the standards for phthalate plasticizers within the Common Safety Standards for Children's Products that all products for children must follow to protect children, the most vulnerable, from harmful substances.

(2) Major Provisions

Designate and add a new substance (DIBP) to the six types of phthalate plasticizers currently regulated.
