(1) Reasons for Proposal

The Amendment aims to adopt the track system (track lighting) for supplying power to lighting fixtures as a category subject to safety control so as to secure product safety and promote consumer safety. 

(2) Major Provisions

A. Adopt the track system for supplying power to lighting fixtures as an article subject to safety control (electrical appliance subject to safety verification)

- Establish a subcategory of electrical appliances subject to safety verification due to the adoption of the category [attached Table 2].

- Establish detailed standards for model classification regarding electrical appliances subject to safety verification [attached Table 10].

- Establish a list of parts subject to safety control for electrical appliances [attached Table 20].

- Establish safety standards regarding the current safety standards for electrical appliances subject to safety control [attached Table 25].
