(1) Reasons for Proposal

As the Act on the Management of Conformity Assessment, etc., is to be enforced on April 8, 2021,  these Guidelines aim to define matters delegated from the Act including checking the accuracy of test certificates and other matters required for the enforcement thereof.

(2) Major Provisions

A. Measure to check the accuracy and authenticity of test certificates (Articles 3 through 5)

Define detailed requirements including the test certificate management system that accredited institutions must have in place and measures to prevent counterfeit or forgery.

B. Accredit institutions (Article 6)

Define detailed requirements for accrediting institutions including areas of accreditation and evaluation team qualification.

C. Classify deficiencies for a business management accreditation body (Article 7)

Define deficiency classification based on which accreditation is performed for business management.

D. Cancel the designation of professional training institutions and classify deficiencies (Articles 8 and 9)

Define detailed requirements for designation, renewal evaluation, guidance, supervision and designation cancellation for professional training institutions as well as deficiency classification.

E. Define the re-review period (Article 10)

Define the re-review period of every 3 years.
