(1) Reasons for Proposal

The Amendment aims to revise the provisions related to Article 65-2 of the Electric Utility Act (Self-Inspection of Power Transmission and Distribution Business Operators) according to the Enactment of the Safe Management Act and the amendment to the Electric Circuit Act (Act No. 17171, promulgated on March 31, 2020, enforced on April 1, 2021). 

(2) Major Provisions

A. New establishment of the administrative procedures for targets, standards, and procedures for self-inspection of power transmission and distribution facilities (Article 32-2, attached Table 10-2)

B. Addition of regulations on the eligibility of self-inspectors of power transmission and distribution facilities (Article 33)

C. Establishment of the matters to be reported and reporting forms for self-inspection results of power transmission and distribution business operators (Article 50-4, attached Table 17-2, Form 47-2)
