1. Reasons for Amendment

The Amendment newly inserts a list of national security threat-related documents to be submitted and revises the foreign investment reporting form for deliberating on foreign investment that may pose a threat to national security as stipulated in the Foreign Investment Promotion Act (Act No. 17799; promulgated on December 29, 2020; enforced on December 30, 2021) and the Enforcement Decree of the Foreign Investment Promotion Act (Presidential Decree No. 32274; promulgated on December 28, 2021; enforced on December 30). 

2. Major Provisions

A. Newly insert national security threat-related documents under document requirements for reporting on foreign investment and applications for permission (attached Table 1, subparagraph 4 newly inserted)

B. Revise the reporting form for foreign investments made by the acquisition of stocks, etc. or by the contribution method to enable identification of the foreign investment security deliberation status (Form 1)
