B. Major Revisions
〇 Updating safety standards to comply with international agreements on the safety management of electrical appliances
- (KC 61851-1) Establish standards (vibration resistance, impact and shock resistance, etc.) to support new convergence product launches, such as portable chargers*, and strengthen safety standards by adding overload/short circuit protection test items, etc.
* Convergence products that can be recharged at the time and place desired by customers by using carts or trucks loaded with batteries
- (KC 62752) Establish a separate safety standard to which requirements for portable chargers* and tolerance tests against aging in the existing safety standards (KC 61851-1 and KC 61851-22) are added.
* Chargers, which are portable products, consisting of cable-integrated control and protection devices
- (KC 61851-22) All of the contents of the existing KC 61851-22 have been moved to KC 61851-1 (amendment) and KC 62752 (amendment), so it needs to be abolished.
* However, abolishment must occur after the expiration of the period of parallel application of the existing safety standards
