1. Reasons for Amendment
The Amendment adds a number of hair dye
ingredients to the list of ingredients that cannot be used in cosmetics based
on the results of risk assessments pursuant to Article 8 of the Cosmetics Act
and the current state of affairs in other countries, thereby aiming to
strengthen safety control of cosmetics and protect public health.
2. Major Provisions
○ Change a number of hair dye ingredients
subject to restrictions on use to ingredients prohibited from use in cosmetics
(attached Tables 1 and 2)
- Delete a number of hair dye ingredients that are subject to
restrictions on use and add them to the list of ingredients prohibited from use
