1. Reasons for Amendment

The partial amendment will specify that the battery is a leased device in the register when providing the battery lease service so as to uphold the creation of new industries related to batteries, such as the battery lease service for electric vehicles.

2. Major Provisions

A. Make it mandatory to record the fact in the register if a battery is leased (Article 8-2 (6) 7 newly inserted)

B. Newly insert the requirement to apply for modified motor vehicle registration if its battery is leased (Article 22 (4) 7 newly inserted)
