1. Reasons for Enactment

As the Act on the Promotion of and Support for Invention Education (hereinafter referred to as the APSIE) was revised to certify invention teachers (promulgated on June 10, 2022, and to be implemented on December 11, 2022), this enactment aims to stipulate the details such as detailed standards for (re)certification necessary for the implementation of the invention teacher certification system, the recognition scope and period of detailed standards, the announcement of certification implementation, subjects of evaluation tests, (re)certification application forms, and certificate format (for invention teachers and preliminary invention teachers).

2. Major Provisions

A. Define the purpose of this Notice (Article 1).

B. Define the detailed standards for (re-)certification by grade for the certification of invention teachers and the scope and period of recognition of the detailed standards (Articles 2 through 3).

C. Stipulated certification application and re-certification application forms for invention teacher (Article 4).

D. Specify the details of the implementation of a series of certifications, such as the announcement of the implementation of the certification of an invention teacher, the implementation and subjects (contents) of the evaluation test, and certificate format (for invention teachers and preliminary invention teachers) (Articles 5 through 8).

E. Stipulate the establishment and function of a certification council (Article 9).

F. Define the review deadline of this Notice (Article 10).
