1. Reasons for Amendment

This enactment is intended to ensure the effective implementation of contagious animal disease prevention and control measures as delegated under Article 3 (5) of the Act on the Prevention of Contagious Animal Diseases.

2. Major Provisions

A. Activities to prevent outbreaks of African swine fever and disease control measures such as inspection, slaughter, restrictions on movement, surveillance, disinfection, and post-management that must be carried out in the event of an African swine fever outbreak

B. Disease control obligations for owners, etc., of livestock, measures to address suspected cases, measures to address probable cases, measures such as restrictions on movement, measures such as slaughter, measures such as disinfection, disease control in protected areas, disease control in surveillance areas, measures taken in the event of an outbreak outside livestock housing, measures taken to address outbreaks in wild boars, and re-farming of livestock
