1. Reasons for Enactment
Even though the golf course is a sports facility used by 47.59 million people around the world as of 2021, users' complaints are increasing as fees are often not displayed. Accordingly, this aims to establish a sound transaction order and guarantee the right of the users who use the golf courses by establishing a standard for displaying and managing usage fees for the golf course business.
2. Major Provisions
A. Prescribe the usage fees to be displayed by the person who registered a golf course business (Article 3)
1) The golf course admission fees, cart usage fees, incidental service usage fees, etc. shall be subject to the display of usage fees, while the caddy service usage fees shall not be subject to the display obligation.
B. Prescribe the display method for each type of usage fee (Article 4)
1) The admission fee to the golf course shall be posted on the website at 00:00 on the starting date of each month.
2) Cart usage fees and incidental service usage fees shall be displayed on the website and on the golf course so that consumers can easily recognize them.
C. The Sports Facility Business Association under Article 34 of the Installation and Utilization of Sports Facilities Act shall be specified as the subject of providing price information on golf course usage fees (Article 5)
D. Guidance and inspection by the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism on the actual performance status of displaying the usage fee by the person with the display obligation (Article 6)
E. Prescribe the imposition of fines in case of violation of the contents of this notice (Article 8)
