1. Reasons for Amendment

This Amendment intends to improve and supplement some of the inadequacies that have appeared during the operation of the current system as follows: Add marine water thermometer to the detailed criteria and test methods for type approval of electronic thermometers; Additionally prescribe stability testing to the detailed criteria and test methods for type approval of snow-depth meters; Stipulate the exceptional reason for doing performance tests with only the weather sensor of meteorological instruments, etc.

2. Major Provisions

A. Add marine water thermometer to the detailed criteria and test methods for type approval of electronic thermometers (Attached Table 2)

B. If the output of the weather sensor is a pulse or if the observed value can be immediately checked as a result of going through digital signal processing, stipulate that the performance test may be done with only the weather sensor (Attached Tables 2, 3, 5 through 20 and Attached Tables 22 through 24) C. Add the proportion standard of the collected observed data to the stability test among the detailed criteria and test methods for type approval of snow-depth meters (Attached Table 22 through 24)
